The sire Escorial has been a highlight on the international Dressage scene for the Lusitano breed and represented Brazil at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics under João Victor Marcari Oliva. Escorial continues to compete successfully, winning both the CDI3* Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle in Jerez this past year with scores to 78+%. Escorial is a 4* Recommended Stallion with the APSL and has sired numerous offspring who are now competing in Dressage, including Nuelo Campline who represented Brazil at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, the Netherlands. Escorial’s own sire, Spartacus, is a 5* Recommended Stallion and ranked at #88 on the 2022 WBFSH Sire Rankings for Dressage.
Through her damsire Heros Do M Bello, Quina del Pico traces back to the well-regarded stallion Peralta dos Pinhais. Known as the first Lusitano stallion licensed for breeding in Germany, he captured the bronze medal at the 2007 Young Rider FEI World Championships and subsequently competed to the Grand Prix level. Noted for passing on an exemplary attitude and willingness to work, his offspring include the stallion Equador who was part of the Portuguese team at the 2022 FEI World Dressage Championships in Herning. Peralta dos Pinhais was ranked at #87 for the 2022 WBFSH Sire Rankings for Dressage.
